4. People who work in electronic sweatshops are at risk for being replaced by computers. This is a dilemma any time thousands of jobs can be lost becuase it is so easy to be replaced with the caplabblity of technology growing. Society can also worry about other jobs like factory workers being replaced by technology and computers.
6. To some extant childrens' minds are very dependent on computers. Balance is good. SAtudents should develope tchnological skills as well as knowing how to multiply and divide successfully without using the computer/ calculator.
11.In my past education involving computers, I have taken a technoology course every year sice elementary school. I am up to date with technological advances and measure up well.
12. home computers do strengthen families anf friends by connecting people using social networks and email. it allows all families to connect with people in far off distances .
13.People are able to be creative using the computer, in response to hands-on creativity, computers and technology may limit creativity if not used in the right way.

4. For the worker telecommuting is very practical and saves hours of being caught up in traffic. Workers can choose to use their own computers or being connected to the company's modem. Telecommuters refers to all home information users. For workers and management this is a great advantage but can be hard if there are issues that would better be handled face-to-face.
Telecommuting also helps society because it reduces the nu,ber of cars on the freeway.
For the worker it saves time and offers more productivity for the management.
5.Technology such as computers and fax machines allow workers in the workplace to perform tasks more effciently and have a high productivity rate. They help you communicate by sending important informaation to other places as well as create powerpoints and spreadsheets.
6. De-skilling refers to automated jobs that require a lesser amount of skill. Like computerized cash registers where computers do all the work.
Up-skilling refers to clerical jobs that have become improved by technology, such as the use of spreadsheets, databases, email and internet.
7. People who work in electronic sweatshops spend hours staring at a computer screen, producing things that many people use and who work for low wages. Offshore outsourcing is an example of globalization.
8. Education id critical in our future, especially computer education. More jobs now involve technology and computers and people who know how to run computewrs.
9.In the industrial age like today students were taught basic skills to live and function in the "real world". It taught students countless numbers of facts that must be memorized and students had to sit quietly in rows and to work individually. Schools have changed, now students are expected to learntechnological skills and culture and communication in fun and entertaining atmouspheres.
10. To function in the information age students are required to learn mathematics, literacy, technological familiarty, culture, communcation and learning skills.
11. Education simulation games help children learn through exploration and invention, rather than listening to a lecture in class. They allow students to explore artificial enviornments that assist with their learning and focus on vital concepts. With computer aided instuction, it focuses on more traditional learning techniques and offers many advantages over workbook.
12. Multimedia can be used by teachers and students in many ways. They can use computers to give presentations when giving a lesson or presenting a presentation. Videos can be watched in class as well. Students can examine art together on a computer.
13. Distance education is very helpful in a classroom. It can allow you to interact with other classrooms or work on a project without having to leave the classroom. it is very convenient for calssrooms that do not have a lot of recources.
14.Some may say CAI programs or limits students, even with all of its benefits. To ensure success students must put to use and practice their skills.
15. People use home computers for reasons such as telecommuting to work and working from home, sending emails, news, or onlne banking.
16. Smart cards are not as common in the US as they are in Europe.They function like a credit card but hold memory. They are slipped into a special slot in the computer and displays data. They can be used as meal tickes, drivers' licenses, or ca record transactions.
17. Home entertainment is changing rapidly, soon we will be able to interact with our favorite game shows or change the camera angles on tv shows or movies.
